Today on Amazon for $1.99: The Sea Beggars, by Cecelia Holland. I've enjoyed her other books--a very distinctive voice. (Also a friend and a lovely lady).
Re: Ebook freebies and deals 2016 edition
Sea Beggars is $9.91 if you are in Australia though! The way amazon and publishers set up international rights etc is so annoying!
Re: Ebook freebies and deals 2016 edition
Thanks, I just ordered this one. I've only read her Great Maria, which I enjoyed. I just saw in her Wikipedia article that she grew up in Metuchen, New Jersey which is in my county about 12 miles away. We were just at an Irish pub in Metuchen on Thursday.MLE (Emily Cotton) wrote:Today on Amazon for $1.99: The Sea Beggars, by Cecelia Holland. I've enjoyed her other books--a very distinctive voice. The Chronicles of St Mary's boxset vol.1 by Jodi Taylor - £1.00
I have one of these already and haven't read it yet, but I have heard good things about this series.

They're great fun, I've read the first two and thoroughly enjoyed them, a bit like Dr Who but with more humour and better storylines!Lisa wrote:Amazon UK:
