I was holding my breath to see how it would end. I really enjoyed the author's afterward section which told about how her book was based on real people.
The Invention of Wings is amazing. I wish there had been a bit more joy in the book, but it had to be that way. A bored friend asked me what to read, so i said you've got to read this book and he loved it too

Started Galapagos Regained by James Morrow, one of my favorite authors, but it's not grabbing me the way his other books have. It's still good, but not his usual insightful satire. Reading The Year-God's Daughter on the my Nook. Started well but is dragging a bit in the middle. Will see if it picks up.

Re-reading Emma by Jane Austen.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Finished The Love Knot by Elizabeth Chadwick. Am now thinking of reading The Taming of the Queen by Philippa Gregory or a World War Two novel called The Kommandant's Girl.
Will toss a coin to decide
