I'm reading the web page manual for phpbb. In sections. It's pretty dry.

Now reading The Wars of the Papal States, concurrently with The Life and Times of Charles V. I have read and re-enacted so much in the Renaissance, and yet still feel muddled about the who-where-what-whom that was going on in Germany. So when these came up cheap on the kindle, I decided I was going to narrow in and figure out the push-pull that was going on in Germany, Italy, Hungary and so forth.

All I can say is, you have to have a map. The duchys and counties and so forth, don't exist anymore, and without knowing the lay of the land, none of these campaigns make any sense.

A Curious Beginning (Veronica Speedwell Mystery #1) by Deanna Raybourn. I am crossing fingers that like it as much as the Lady Julia mysteries.

I'm reading The Butcher's Wife and Other Stories--a harrowing tale of abuse and revenge.

Finished the latest installment in Anna Lee Huber's historical mysteries. I do like this series a lot, especially the oh-so-dishy hero, Gage. Still in a romance frame of mind and starting Heartless by Mary Balough (sp?).

Dreamer's Pool by Juliet Marillier
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!
