Reading an ARC ebook The Normans: From Raiders to Kings. I'm about 2/3 through and enjoying it--it goes far beyond William the Conqueror and follows the Normans into Italy and Byzantium. Fascinating stuff!

I'm reading The Winter Sea (also published as Sophia's Secret) by Susanna Kearsley.

The setting is just around 25 miles north of where I am, so the local backdrop makes it an even more interesting read :)

Far Horizons by Kate Hewitt. It was a kindle freebie. It's not-awful, but slow enough that I'm using it to go to sleep on.

The Mistress of Spices by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni (first time I read it since I was a teenager)
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!
- "Into Battle"
