The Painted Ladies - Buchanan

Post by wendy » Tue March 25th, 2014, 10:05 pm

I rarely recommend a book on this site, but if you are looking for a great read about the relationship between the French artist Degas and his ballet muses I thoroughly enjoyed Cathy Marie Buchanan's THE PAINTED GIRLS. It is highly original. well written, excellently researched, and touches on the dark side of the arts in 19th Century Paris. Any one else read this yet?
