Thanks Miss Moppet! I haven't read this but it looks really good. I've just bought it :)
FYI, it's a good companion piece to MM Kaye's Shadow of the Moon. Both take place during the Sepoy Rebellion, Zemindar inside the Lucknow Residency, SotM outside the residency.

Just spotted an old Loretta Chase regency on the freebies: Viscount Vagabond.

Interesting...haven't read Shadow of the Moon although I enjoyed The Far Pavilions. And incidentally I'm 80% of the way through one of Kaye's murder mysteries, Death in Berlin, right now.

The Miniaturist by Jessie Burton is £1.80 on Kindle at Amazon UK right now.

I haven't read Kaye's mysteries yet. I understand others some time in with Trade Wind and the Zanzibar book.
