- Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.

I don't know where an author death announcement goes, but I know that several members enjoyed his books and might want to know. Persia Wooley posted a sweet memorial on her facebook page -- apparently they were in a relationship for a time.
I just spotted a mention of this over at the PBS discussion board.
