Ebook freebies and deals 2012

Post by Misfit » Mon January 2nd, 2012, 3:14 pm

If anyone gets wind of a freebie or special offer that might be of interest to fellow HFO members, feel free to post here. For Kindle owners, Amazon US lists the best sellers by purchased and free and those lists change quite often, so worth checking on daily. Historical romance is listed here, and historical fiction is here.

I see EC's The Greatest Knightis selling for $1.79 at the moment and The Secret Holocaust Diaries by Nona Barret is currently free.

Cool! Off to rectify that for my keeper shelf.

BTW, those who like pirates and adventures at sea might want to check out Marsha Canham's Across a Moonlit Sea. Currently free. I picked up her Under a Desert Moon when it was free at Christmas time and liked it a lot. A lot of sex, but it was still fun.

I like to use http://www.ereaderiq.com to look for freebies and bargains. With the freebies, you can sort by genre so you can easily spot the history books and historical fiction. For bargain deals, I go to the price drop watch and under "what other people are watching", click "advanced search" - from there, you can select "price" and set a max price, I usually do $5. This will show all watched books under $5 which have recently dropped to that price.

I noticed a few non-fiction today:

The Lady Queen: The Notorious Reign of Joanna I, Queen of Naples, Jerusalem, and Sicily - $2.10

Valkyrie: An Insider's Account of the Plot to Kill Hitler - $4.47

Cleopatra and Antony: Power, Love, and Politics in the Ancient World - $4.41

I've been posting stuff on a Goodreads group but I do so here as well.

Some freebies too:

Heir to the Everlasting
Beyond All Price
Beyond this Valley
Whispers from the Ashes (some may not consider this historical fiction since it's set in 1955.)
Caribbee
The Moghul
Sentence of Marriage

I think it's more on the romance side of things, but Again by Diana Murdockis free today. Appears to be a medieval time slip thingy.

WWI Canadian setting and free today is Dream Castles 1913(Princes of the North) by Cindy Bouchard.

The Lady of Bolton Hill by Elizabeth Camden is free on Kindle today. I believe it's inspirational.
