Immortal Beloved by Cate Tiernan - urban fantasy, not really HF but the main character is 400 years old.

Real Murders by Charlaine Harris - modern crime.

The Apothecary's Daughter by Charlotte Betts - HF, set during the plague and fire of London.

The Sea Kings by Les Cole, an adventure set around Bronze Age Minoan Crete. Reviews vary wildly- will just have to wait and see, I guess. Won't order the other two in the series till I check out this first one.

Charlotte Betts has a new book coming out - The Painter's Apprentice. Her book covers are very colourful and attractive, don't you think?

I'll keep an eye out for that one, Vanessa- I enjoyed Apothecary's Daughter. There aren't that many novels set around the Glorious Revolution, either.

Yep I love the covers....I am actually thinking of buying extra copies of books so I can rip off the covers and then frame them for what will be my future study/library. :D I know it's mad, but I LOVE those covers! :D :p

LOL. I think they make a change from the usual figure/headless lady, etc! I can see what you mean about wanting to frame them.

I think this cover is even lovelier than her first book, they are both gorgeous, and a definite change from the lady in a pretty frock standing in a castle/cloister! ;)

In the mail... The War at Troy by Lindsay Clarke.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!
