The Winter Mantle by Elizabeth Chadwick
Beloved Enemy by Ellen Jones
The library has been helping with my historical novel fix lately.

Book Shopping Today (2012 Edition)
FOL sale in a few hours. Worse yet, it's not in a room at the local library. It's being hosted in a freaking UBS. Pray for me

Went to a new-to-me UBS in tiny, tiny Black Diamond WA (about a 30 min drive). Found some interesting older historicals, including one that looks very promising - Taos by Irwin Blacker. The best part is the lovely store they've got there. Huge, with tons of titles and the historicals actually have a spot of their own, as do the HRs - and the owners really do know the difference between the two genres. Kids under twelve get a free book, free coffee for the grownups and they're working on building an online selling site. Finally Found Books.
They give kids under 12 free coffee?
The store looks nice.
Sorry, it's been a long couple of days. Kids get a free book and the adults get free coffee. I clarified the former post.

Well, that does make more sense. I thought it was one of those signs... 'unattended children get coffee, a free book, and a free puppy'.
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

Lol. It was actually cute, one young girl came up with two books and told the owner/cashier that her mother would be back to pay for the *not free* one. No one panic about unattended children, this is a very very small town and the FOL sale was going on outside on the store's front porch.
