LOL. Seems like you got plenty of good excuses to break the fast. ;)
Well so far there hasn't been a book I want that's cheap or a book at the new/used I want. So no breaking yet.

Just back home from lunch with Michele and a visit to a UBS neither of us knew about in Tacoma. I got,

Sword at Sunset by Rosemary Sutcliff
In a Dark Wood Wandering by Hella Haasse
The Last Love by Thomas Costain (Napoleon!)
To Serve them all My Days by R.F. Delderfield (in the $.25 bargain rack)
The Sheik by E.M. Hull with an inscription inside "To Albert Xmas 1923"
Rebecca by D du M (also in the $.25 bargain rack)
Four smutty looking Plantation books

And.....

Fortunately there were two copies of this so both of us could take one home...

You see that nice ribbon bookmarker that comes with it? Mine even has a postcard inside same image as the bookcover. Neither of us had seen this issue before.

Michele scored the entire Angelique series or pretty damn close to all of them, plus a bunch of HTF Plaidy's. We spotted, but didn't buy five of the six Roselynde series by Roberta Gellis. Assorted covers available.

That's a really nice book! I don't read her books but could've bought a copy like that for it's beauty. :)

Just got the camera fired up to take a snap of what I got, along with a photo of the books from last month's FOL sale.

Misfit: Never seen that edition before. Used bookstores here doesn't have many books in english. And definitely not historicals.

Last book I bought was A Royal Passion by Katie Whitaker
I've stopped buying books. Yes it's true! I decided I have so many books in my TBR pile that it was about time to catch up.
I should do that. But the odds are small that it could actually happen as I am nearly always tempted by new stuff coming out... Sigh. It's insane. J muttered about my bibliomania the other night, and I came back with "It could be worse, I could smoke or drink" and he shut up.

Yes it is a bit hard to argue that point that you made. :)
