You can also get public domain stuff from http://www.gutenberg.org for free, though it does require a few extra steps to download instead of Amazon's one-click system. Here's Mary Stuart (in English), though I don't know what the formatting is like: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/2744
Thanks for that. I feel I've got a Mary Stuart/Dumas mystery on my hands. There's the MS from his Celebrated Crimes series which as I understand it are short novels, but I also thought he wrote a full length novel based on Mary. It is mentioned at the end of The Two Dianas and that's the one I want to read. Every trial I downloaded yesterday is the same as the one from Celebrated Crimes. I'm going over to goodreads and put the Dumas sleuths on this mystery.

From our book box at work I've purloined "Gothic Tales" by Elizabeth Gaskell. I didn't know she did a bit of Gothic too!

Clue in the Castle Tower
Even though American Girls Collection retired Samantha Parkington, her stories seem to keep coming in their Mystery series. This one has Samantha and Nellie traveling to England and solve a mystery while staying at a family friend's castle.

From my fast-emptying Borders:

The Queen's Lover by Vanora Bennett
The Romanov Bride by Robert Alexander

Downloaded on Mr. Kindle:

Threads by Nell Gavin

The Daisy and the Bear by K. L. Clark (this is the expanded version of a spoof on bad Wars of the Roses novels that a friend of mine did on her blog. If you enjoyed Brian Wainwright's The Adventures of Alianore Audley, you'll love this!)
Susan Higginbotham
Coming in October: The Woodvilles

Definitely an interesting take on Anne Boleyn's story for sure!

Have The Daughter of Siena by Marina Fiorato from Amazon Vine (lol, and I just won a copy off of LT!), plus two OOP's that finally had a good price drop, Sest her on a Throne by Jan Westcott (Anne Neville) and Lady Kate by Pamela Hill (Katherine Gordon).

Let us know how you get on with Lady Kate. Glad you got it cheaply as I paid full price for mine and didn't make it far (sigh). I'll say more later. It's a collector's item of sorts, so I should be able to unload it on a Wars of the Roses fanatic easily enough :D Jan Westcott is good, though - rather rose-tinted and romanticized, but I've enjoyed what I read of hers.
