Book Shopping Today (2011 edition)

Picked up secondhand an older trilogy set around the War of Roses and featuring the Percy and Neville families, as recommended by Madame Guillotine. They sound like fun- plenty of blood and passion - has anyone read them? Lion of Alnwick, Lion Dormant and Lion Invincible, by Carol Wensby Scott.

You too? I ordered all three and two of them have arrived already and waiting on the third. Tanzanite caved as well if I'm not mistaken

ETA, my copy of book two just landed and it is a hardback. If you have the paperback Annis, would you mind sending me the blurb so I can put it up at Goodreads?

Sadly the Borders stores here are shutting, so they're having big sales to get rid of stock. Not that I need a sale to buy more books...

Anyway, yesterday I got a couple of non-fictions, and some novels I'd been thinking about. I probably could have bought more, but the queues for the registers were horrible!

Pale as the Dead by Fiona Mountain from the library. It's the large print edition so it's going to take some getting used to! Not sure I'll take it out and about with me, though. LOL.

I remember large print editions, they used to have stripey covers and were enormous!

That trilogy sounds very good.

I was trying to work out what you meant by the 'trilogy', Madeleine. I think you must mean the book I'm reading now. Yes, unfortunately I only have book one. So it will probably mean more expense for me as there aren't any copies at the library.
