any B&N people here?

Post by Forskande » Sun February 22nd, 2009, 8:16 pm

I got an account on bn.com a few weeks ago and I was so excited to find out that it was a readign COMMUNITY. Like Facebook for readers, haha. Someone on there read my plea for YA historical fiction suggestions and sent me here.

The thing is though, I often find profiles of people who I would like to send a message to, but I don't know how? I know you can, because a lot of profiles say "send me a message if...".

Does anyone know how to send a message to another BN.com user?

I dont know how to do that, but what type of YA historical fiction are you looking for? I just started a blog reviewing YA HF and YA books in general. I'm a YA librarian. :)

To be honest I'm not too picky on the era, I like Colonial, Civil war. But what makes it so hard to find a book to read is that I like YA HF books that have a love story. Big or small. I always read the last page of a book to make sure it ends happy too. :)

Here's my favorites:

The Raging Quiet - Sherryl Jordan
Time Enough for Drums - Ann Rinaldi
Nothing to Fear, and the Primrose Way by Jackie Koller French
Just Jane - William Lavender
The Witch of Blackbird Pond - Elizabeth Speare

I just love these books. I'm always on the hunt for another one like them. If you have any suggestions I'd be thrilled! :D

I rather like Rosemary Sutcliff.
