Child 44 by Robert Smith (from my wish list) and that Guernsey Potato Peel whatever book with a gift certificate.

Not a book, but one of my kids gave me the DVD set of the TV series The Forsyte Saga. I loved the book and am prepared to love the series.

My mom gave the The Birth of Venus by Sarah Dunant to me. Since I've already read it, she will take it back and exchange it for another HF. I'll have to troll some of HFO's lovely reviews for replacement ideas.

That's why I prefer to order the book(s) I want from mom myself so I don't get something I don't want or already read, or gift certs from other people for places I can buy books.

No books here! My family thinks I read too much and therefore would not do anything to encourage such behaviour!
