I’m reading Boomerville in Ballymegille by Caroline James, a contemporary murder mystery story set in a hotel which caters for those of a certain age.

I’m also reading The Haunting of Alma Fielding by Kate Summerscale, a true ghost non-Fiction story set in 1907.

I'm re-reading Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke. (The birthday trip book.)
Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

I'm reading Ken Follett's latest, The Evening & The Morning. Although I love Follett, this one so far is just a little too much same old same old. But he is entertaining, which is a great relief after finishing Caste by Isabel Wilkerson, which, though thought-provoking, was horrific & depressing in many parts.

I’m reading Pine by Francine Toon via Pigeonhole. It’s a gothic thriller with spooky goings on.

Current: A Portrait of Loyalty by Roseanna M. White
The #3 and final installment in "The Codebreaker" series. Lily and Zivon are the two lead characters in the new novel. Mostly set in London during the final months of WWI, the story line includes France and Russia.

Finished: An Artless Demise by Anna Lee Huber ("Lady Darby Mystery" #7)
Been on a binge read of the series! In this one, Kiera and Gage are in London following their investigation in the English countryside. London is on edge, and Kiera's past puts her back in the public spotlight.
I'm on hold for the latest and #8 installment A Stroke of Malice from the library. The couple return to Scotland for New Year celebrations and traditional end of the Christmas season.

I’m reading A Gathering of Ghosts by Karen Maitland, a suitably dark, medieval tale for this time of year.

I’m also reading Coming Home to Penvennon Cove by Linn B Halton via Pigeonhole, a lighthearted tale set in Cornwall. I love stories set in that part of the world.
