Getting a head start. I might be distracted tomorrow when I start watching the latest episode of Outlander.
At home with a good book and the cat...
...is the only place I want to be

I just started Ken Follett's Column of Fire. A little predictable so far, pitting the good versus the not nice characters against each other as he has done in his other Kingsbridge novels. Lot's of interesting happenings in the world in 1558 though & I am a Follett fan, so I hope once we get past introducing the cast there will be a little more historical action.

Just started Coattails & Cocktails by Rumer Haven. It's a book I've received to review and it's set in the 1920s, an Agatha Christie-esque style mystery.

Of interest, the author's website says The Time Traveler's Guide to Regency Britain will be published in 2019.

I'm reading Tall Chimneys by Allie Cresswell. It hasn't been published yet and there's no synopsis or cover as yet either. I was asked by the author to join a team of reviewers to help promote the book. It's about a house set over 100 years beginning in 1910 and it's told through the eyes of the daughter of the house. Enjoying it so far.

Empire's Ghost by Isabelle Steiger
Borrowed from the library: an epic fantasy novel of rivaling kingdoms. The cover (click to view) is well done.

I'm just about to start an appropriate spooky tale for October/Hallowe'en - The Eleventh Floor by Shani Struthers.. It's another book I gave to review.
