Margaret, great interview with Parrish! I have Heresy on my bedside table; every time I'm about to start it, some other book shoves its way in. But I'm definitely eager to read it; your review and interview made me doubly so!

I would have liked a little more from Heresy, but that's not much of a criticism, because it's the best novel out there on Giordano Bruno that I'm aware of, and the guy is very definitely worth reading about. The opening scene is wild - the sort of thing one suspects is a figment of an author's overly fertile imagination - but it's completely grounded in fact.
