Has anyone read "Pleasure Palace" by Kate Emerson?
No, go on. Hee, you should have posted a review, if you don't want to post it at Amazon you can do it here ;)
Nyah, too little time, too many other things to review. Besides, after panning Jeri Waterston's 'medieval noir' and Charles Finch's historical mystery, I just don't have enough energy to deal with that & Sandra Worth's opus. I'm gearing myself up to laud "Spiders of Allah". (Not HF!

Brain candy is dandy. It just didn't work on that level for me, either. And I'm no literary snob, trust me...

Didn't think you were, we can't all like the same books all the time can we? Look at Figures in Silk :)

It will have to be tomorrow, I'm too tired tonight. Scathing review or just a thread under books/authors?

After reading your honest reviews, I will wait and borrow this one from the library. Like some of you, I have to be in the mood for fluff to read it and wont' bother ordering it from Amazon afterall.

I bought it and was slightly disappointed. The mystery in Jane's origins kept me reading...and then, like others said, it kind of fell apart at the end. Decent enough for me to read the next one in the series when it comes out, but I wish I hadn't spent money on it. :)

Definitely a library book. Enjoyable but forgettable.
