Shocked I tell you. Shocked! Still laughing over that recent article wherein PG dissed the filmmakers of TOBG for not sticking to the historical record, as in the historical record as she wrote it in the book. :D

Katherine has decreed this, and so it will be. Katherine will not invite me to England: a divorced woman can never be her guest; her court could not be shamed, an adulteress could not come near her.
I am really lost here, and this is just one small quote from pages and pages and pages of Margaret's dilemma over being married to a man who supposedly is already married and everyone from the Scot lords to Harry and K of A want her to stay married to the man who is already married and not 'divorce' him. Which is kind of funny, because earlier in the book when Margaret was visiting London, Harry and one of his minions were plotting for her to get a divorce from the same husband (who at the time we didn't know he was already married prior to marrying Margaret), and marry either the French king of the Holy Roman Emperor.

My head is spinning. Off to get coffee.

Mary has thirty-three gowns, she lists her shoes, she had a cloth-of-gold canopy held over her head when she walked out in the brilliant sunshine. She rode the most beautiful horses, everyone cheered her as she went by.

85% in and skimming. Lots and lots of letters to and from Henry and K of A to Margaret. Don't ask me what rabbit hole I ended up in to find this pic from Bunkerville 2014, but who does this militia guy remind you of?

The Defender of the Faith himself!

Such a likeness. Why couldn't they have got this man instead of Eric Bana for 'The Other Boleyn Girl'

I just noticed this book made the semi finals at the Goodreads Choice awards.

Well I haven't read the book so I can't say if it's any good or not.
