Philippa Gregory will be discussing her new release The Kingmaker’s Daughter. Philippa will be reading from the novel, discussing the history behind it and taking questions from readers about her work and writing career.

Books available for purchase and Philippa will sign after her talk. Tickets cost £10, redeemable against a book purchase. With Chorleywood Bookshop. Call 01923 283 566 for more information.

Currently reading: The Farm at the Edge of the World by Sarah Vaughan
Interest in HF: The first historical novel I read was Katherine by Anya Seton and this sparked off my interest in this genre.
Favourite HF book: Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell!
Preferred HF: Any

Vanessa, she's going to be in Harrogate on 22 Aug and Richmond, North Yorks, the next night. If either of those are near enough I'd definitely recommend it. Writing up blog post now and I'll post the link.

Harrogate is about 25 miles away from me and Richmond is about 55. I'll have to see if I can persuade someone to come with me to Harrogate! Thanks for that, Miss Moppet.

Yes, Betty's is lovely! When I lived in North Leeds, I used to shop in Harrogate quite a bit. Now I'm nearer York, I shop there. Luckily there is a Betty's in York, too! :D

You sound to have had a good evening and PG's talk sounds very interesting.
