Would that be Nero's mum?

Into battle we ride with Gods by our side
We are strong and not afraid to die
We have an urge to kill and our lust for blood has to be fulfilled
WE´LL FIGHT TILL THE END! And send our enemies straight to Hell!

- Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
BlueEmerald, I believe Michelle Moran has just finished a novel on Lakshmi. And probably did a good job of it, too!
"Rebel Queen" by Michelle Moran. Looks to be coming out in HB in March '15.
Thanks for the scoop MLE! I'll certainly add it to my TBR-India list. I've enjoyed Ms. Moran's other historical fictions. "Rebel Queen" looks to be just a fit for my reading interests (colonial Britain/India).
Has her work gotten any better in the last few years? After reading The Other Boleyn Girl and one other of her novels, I don't even remember the title of it, PG is one of the authors I avoid.
Really? I though TOBG was the most original take I've ever read of Anne Boleyn (and I've read a lot!) Who else has ever explained the charges Henry brought against her under the assumption that they may have been real?
The movie, however, was awful . . .

The movie of TOBG was a misuse of Eric Bana. She should write about... uh, Elizabeth I's cousin.
