Yep, true :) I don't mind reading stuff out of chronological order, but this is a planned trilogy, so it didn't make as much sense to me.

When The Constant Princess received poor reader reviews, Philippa posted a thread on the subject on her message board.

Like I said before I think I'll wait to see what the reviews are on em. I used to buy her books cause they were written by her, bu tno more. I'm not falling into that trap again.

I didnt mind the Constant Princess. It was an OK read. Not steller.

Hi everybody
I was rather shocked to go on Amazon the other day and see a lot of bad reviews for the constant princess. Shocked because it has been a best seller on both sides of the atlantic and sold very well, and reviewed very well in the press. If you liked the book and if you would like to defend it please go to Amazon and post your review. It would cheer me up!

I'm not an author and I can't look at this from an author's viewpoint but I'd be way too embarrassed to make such a blatant plea for positive reviews. I have to say that the comments for The Other Queen on her own boards aren't so hot either.
