It's been a looooong time since I last posted in this forum, but just wanted to share what I've read this year (in chronological order; it's a skimpy list considering i've been reading memoir and other nonfiction in preparation for writing my own book):
1. Outlander, by Diana Gabaldon (re-read)
2. Hungry Hill, by Daphne DuMaurier
3. Captain Alatriste, by Arturo Perez Reverte
4. The Shivering Sands, by Victoria Holt
5. Whisper of Jasmine, by Deanna Raybourn
6. Cashelmara, by Susan Howatch
7. Fortune's Rocks, by Anita Shreve (re-read)
8. Silent in the Grave, by Deanna Raybourn (re-read)
9. Jamaica Inn, by Daphne Du Maurier
10. City of Jasmine, by Deanna Raybourn
11. The Scarlet Pimpernel, by Baroness Orczy
12. An Expert in Murder, by Nicola Upson
13. The House at Riverton, by Kate Morton (re-read)
14. The Accursed, by Joyce Carol Oates (though given her style of writing it's really a mix of genres)
15. The Witching Hour, by Anne Rice (re-read)
16. Morgan's Run by Colleen McCullough
17. Dragonfly in Amber, by Diana Gabaldon (re-read)
18. Voyager, by Diana Gabaldon (re-read)
19. Drums of Autumn, by Diana Gabaldon (re-read)
20. The Valley of Decision, by Marcia Davenport
Lots of re-reads, I'm noticing! And lots of chunky novels, too (at least 8 or 9 of these are 800-plus pages).
