Madeleine Brent
Madeleine Brent
I'm currently on my second book by this author, and really enjoying it. A resourceful heroine, historical setting, mystery and gothic twists and turns. Several of my GR friends have read a lot from her (really a him) and rate them highly. Oh, and I know often the male writing as a female can get a bit squicky with the sex angle, but so far I've not come across it. I wouldn't have caught on to 'her' being a male author except that GR told me so.

- Interest in HF: started in childhood with the classics, which, IMHO are HF even if they were contemporary when written.
- Favourite HF book: Prince of Foxes, by Samuel Shellabarger
- Preferred HF: Currently prefer 1600 and earlier, but I'll read anything that keeps me turning the page.
