I had a copy of The Doll out from the library. It really wasn't rocking my world. I read about three or four stories and got bored with it.

Interest in HF: The first historical novel I read was Katherine by Anya Seton and this sparked off my interest in this genre.

I notice that there's a TV adaptation of The Scapegoat coming up. I don't know the exact date but here's a short trailer.

I just picked up The Winding Stair today. About Francis Bacon, and may be NF. Anyone familiar with it? I will post a cover once I've got it scanned.
