Re: Dejavu book covers

Perhaps it's only one author, but she could not decide on a pen name. :D

Re: The Most Annoying thing today

Faith, glad you are back and hope you feel tip-top quickly!! Blueemerald, I've spent today working from home with contractors coming and going. The downstairs bath has become my bugaboo, I'm beginning to think it will never be completed. And the downstairs bath? Is 37" x 72". It's scarcely ten squar...

Re: Dejavu book covers

Our friend on the "Freedom" cover looks like she's got red nails as well.

I *adore* 60s/70s cover art, and not even in an ironic way. Even as wrong as this one is, it's so much more evocative than photos of headless women.

Re: Dejavu book covers

I'd been at histfic for a few years before I found Born of the Sun, I think in college, and I did love it (*). Parke Godwin's A Memory of Lions, though, is my bone-deep favorite. That's how I want to write. * It took me until THIS YEAR to get a bead on how to pronounce Ceawlin's name, though. That d...

Re: The Most Amusing Thing Today....

This is one that could go in the Annoying thread, but I have to laugh instead. Within 15 minutes of saying to someone, "Oh thank goodness - today has been so busy I forgot about that headache I've been fighting for two days" - the storm front lurched forward, and damn if I didn't have a throbbing si...
