It's the last episode tonight, the series has been OK, nice to see some of the supporting characters getting more story, eg Leonard, and Geordie's wife has more of a role this series.

I've just started Murder at the Fitzwilliam by Jim Eldridge, first in a series of new murder mysteries, set in Cambridge in 1894.

Hi, you could do a general search on Google, type in Historical Novels set in Ireland (and the period you're interested in) and see what comes up, or a website called Good Reads might also be useful.

The series was enjoyable, Anne Reid steals it in the same way that Maggie Smith stole all her scenes in Downton. Not sure if there'll be a second series though.
