I have to say, it's so tempting when a reviewer has fundamentally misunderstood the story. But the only time I've commented on a review was the thank someone, and answer some questions. It was an Italian expert, and we've since become on-line friends. I hope that doesn't count as behaving badly.

Just wanted to update everyone - VOICE OF THE FALCONER is dead. At least for the time being. In December I formally requested the rights back from St. Martin's, and last week the signed paperwork finally arrived. The rights to that and all the sequels are mine again, and they're going into a drawer ...

Alas, no joke. Take this as an indication of timeframe - I turned the ms. in in March 2007. As of today, it is still unedited . Which is why I'm surprised there's art.
