Haven't heard of them, but it's good to hear from you LCW!
Hi MLE! Nice to "see" you. I still recognize and remember almost everyone here. Misfit said everyone was on Goodreads now but I can't find anyone. I find that site confusing to navigate.

The Maggie Hope Series

Is anyone familiar with the WWII spy novel series about Maggie Hope? Just wondering if you have to read them in order. I purchased a book way down the line, The Prisoner in the Castle.

I've just started a bit of Southern Gothic - ""Where the Crawdads Sing" by Delia Owens.
I read this a few months ago. Absolutely amazing book! Probably top 10-15 of all time.

Right now I'm about to start The Chefs secret by Crystal King. Looks interesting!
I had the same thought LCW, and unfortunately, I can't say that I persevered. might have gone further if it had been on the kindle-- the Historian is a doorstopper of a book, it must weight 2 lbs.
It's size is the reason I picked it. I was tired of seeing this b...

After finishing A King's Ransom I started on The Historian. I've had the book for years but haven't gotten around to it. I'm about 40 pages in and if it doesn't get better in 20 or so pages I'm giving up. A story about people researching a fascinating topic isn't doing it for me as much as a story a...

I watched the first episode and wasn't impressed. I'm giving it one more and then giving up. My bf's comment that they threw everything they could think of in the first episode to hook as wide a variety of people as possible seems accurate.

My cats are too big to fit them and a book so they sandwich me one on either side. And it is a big book. I'm so used to my kindle but somehow I'll manage :p :D

I'm so excited! My Vine copy just arrived today. I know what I'll be doing tonight and into the wee hours of the morning. :)

Does anyone know if there is another book planned to follow Devil's Brood? For some reason I'm thinking there is. Please tell me I'm right!

Of that top 100 list I have two on my Kindle already. Across A Moonlit Sea and Far Horizons. About a month ago I started reading the first and it was just OK about 1/4 of the way through. Then vacation and the holidays happened and I haven't gotten back to it. I just received a hard copy of The Shoe...
