I started it more than six years ago, but didn't have the time to really concentrate on it. It is a bit jumpy and very detailed (those footnotes!), but I hope to begin again very soon. I've set my DVR to record the TV adaptation and am really looking forward to binge-watching it.

Just starting The Bloodletter's Daughter by Linda Lafferty. I hope the author includes loads of rich detail about the Bohemiam setting - inside and out. Early 17th C during the Hapsburg era hasn't been a very familiar HF place for me.

I'm 18% into The Book of Life and needed to look up characters, as well. Susan, this one has helped a good bit: http://allsoulstrilogy.wikia.com/wiki/Characters

The Day is a White Tablet by Jill Fletcher Pelaez

The Day is a White Tablet is for readers wanting an extremely well written, researched and action driven story. The setting is within the immediate months following the surrender of the Civil War and the action takes place from Georgia down into the Florida wilderness. Not many novels include the st...

Just started reading Alinor - Roselynde Chronicles #2 on Kindle. Finished the first book last week. This is my first time through the series. Why did I wait sooooo long?! Very impressed with both all around! Every good thing I've heard from other HFO'ers about the Roselynde Chronicles is absolutely ...
My Brother Michael by Mary Stewart
One of all my all time favorites. No telling how many times I've read it since the 70's. If I ever visit Delphi and other Greek places, it will due to this story!
We took an extended weekend with the kids and went skiing in NC (well, hubby and kids did -- I watched). Driving through that area reminded me that Thirteen Moons by Charles Frazier has been languishing on my shelf. I'm about 75% through and really like it so far. The story is a ...

I am 4% into Camp Follower, A Mystery of the American Revolution by Suzanne Adair and am very intrigued so far. It's still a Kindle freebie and worth downloading. The setting in the Carolina backcountry and the battle of Cowpens was the main draw for me as Cowpens is about 30 or so miles down the ro...
