Hello from London, which as I write is glowing in autumn sunshine.
I've been writing my first historic novel for 15 years(!), and I'm finally going to have it published. (It's not a very long book. I just stopped writing for ages.)
Having been occupied writing journalism, I lost sight for years of how much I always loved historical fiction. It has helped me to list my favourite historical novels (http://www.flintoff.org/my-favourite-historical-novels) so I could try to put the same qualities into my own book.
I've been reading lots of the posts here and feeling like a bit of a chump that I didn't discover this forum long ago.
But I'm glad to be here now, and look forward to meeting other enthusiasts.
JP
