Susan is right; Maud, the Countess of Chester died in August of 1189, and I am going to miss her very much after sharing three of my books with her. And since I was planning to continue the story in Lionheart, I didn't mention her fate in the AN, though I probably should have. Another death that summer was the sudden death of Henry and Eleanor's daughter Matilda, Tilda in DB, the Duchess of Saxony. She was only 33 and we do not know anything about the circumstances of her death. AT least Henry was spared knowing that.
