Oh, and for those outside of the UK who don't want to have to wait for either Season three of Downton Abbey (or Titanic or any other UK show), there is a way to watch it on your computer if it is available from the channel (BBC, ITV etc). There is software available for free that will give you a UK IP address. Then you just use the channel's iPlayer to watch whatever shows they have available.

The two that I'm aware of are ExpatShield and Tunnelbear. I downloaded Expat and it works great. When you are done watching, you just disconnect it and you get your regular IP address back. At least on the BBC site, you can also download the shows to your computer and watch them anytime, anywhere (although they do expire after a certain number of days). I had to do that with one show when I was having some bandwidth issues. Interestingly, in order to watch it after you've downloaded it, you have to totally disconnect from the internet.

Well, it looks like he's signed on for seasons four and five so that's promising.

But I'm not entirely sure it will matter if Maggie Smith and writer Julian Fellows don't stay on after season three. There won't be much of a show left!

Oh is that a possibility? I'm a newbie to all of this and haven't finished season 1, so I'm avoiding any news about future seasons. That would be sad indeed.

If you are in the UK, there is software available that doesn't give away your country location at all which can be quite handy particularly for downloading out-of-copyright books that are sometimes only available to those in particular countries. It got that little tip from a guy at the National Records Office.

Any advice on how I can watch Season 2 and the Holiday special? I've been watching Season 1 on amazon prime, but alas, I'll have to pay to watch Season 2.
