I don't think CGI enhancements to physical performaces by human actors constitutes animation.
I agree.

I saw Avatar about two weeks after release. My opinion: Fabulous from a technological standpoint, but terribly disappointing as a movie, overall. I was expecting a much better story from Cameron. Weak story overall, and pathetic plot and character development.

We went and saw Ice Age 3 at the outdoor cinema last night. Apart from the fact it was a little cool, and we were a bit concerned that the inflatable screen was going to blow away, it was a very pleasant way to spent a summer evening.

Absolutely loved Temple Grandin on HBO last night. My thoughts:

El Mariachi and Desperado

I didn't finish EM, but my husband liked it in spite of the subtitles (that's a huge thing for him). Desperado was good if you like shoot 'em ups. We'll be getting the third one this week I think.

"Desperado" is a fun movie, and Antonio Banderas, Mamma Mia!

Lovely Bones. Started well but went badly downhill due to CGI overkill.

The OM has been rewatching the second Star Wars trilogy on Blu-Ray. No matter how blu the ray it can't make a silk purse out of a pile of doo doo.
