Hi Jack, I did read Schoonover's book but years before; I have an old hardback that I treasure. I think he did what was expected for the time in which he published it; cultural mores were different and so he molds Juana and Philip's relationship accordingly. Is it too fanciful? Perhaps. But he did capture the "feel" of the period. It's just very different from my interpretation. Best, Christopher
