Thank you, everybody! I just pluck up the courage to come along here and post an announcement, and I find you've all beaten me to it!
Paths of Exile should be available early next year. There's more information on my website (http://www.carlanayland.org/exile/index.htm), and on the publisher's website (http://www.quaestor2000.com/catalogue.php?album_id=3), and I'll update it as soon as I know a definite release date.

Thank you, everybody!
Annis, I know the publisher sells through Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk if that is any help. I don't know if they have a specific distributor Down Under, but I'll find out nearer the time and let you know.

Thanks, Carla, I'd appreciate that. I know the book can be read from your website, and I've read enough to whet my appetite, but I do find it easier to read a book- too much online reading makes me go cross-eyed!
As a matter of curiousity, are you still going to have it available as a free online read once it's been published?

No, most publishers aren't terribly keen on free copies! As long as the publisher has the rights the full text will only be available from them. So, no more free download or Lulu copy, I'm afraid. The sample chapters are still up on my website, but that's all.
I think you should be able to order from an Australian bookshop when the book is published. If all else fails, I can always post you a copy from here - surface mail isn't that expensive, providing you don't mind it taking weeks!

Thanks, Carla, that's a kind offer. With any luck "Paths of Exile" might show up on Book Depository, my favourite source for British books.

Paths of Exile was officially published by Quaestor2000 on 30 January 2009, and is now available from Amazon.co.uk (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Paths-Exile-Carla-Nayland/dp/1906836094), Amazon.de (http://www.amazon.de/Paths-of-Exile/dp/1906836094/), and Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/Paths-Exile-Carla-Nayland/dp/1906836094/). Bookshops should be able to order copies, certainly in the UK and maybe in some other countries as well.
It is also available from the Book Depository via Amazon Marketplace (http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/WEBSITE/WWW/WEBPAGES/showbook.php?id=1906836094) with worldwide shipping available. The publisher also offers direct sales, with worldwide shipping, via Amazon Marketplace (click on the Amazon.co.uk or Amazon.com links above), slightly higher price than The Book Depository but with immediate despatch. For countries that aren't covered by Amazon Marketplace, the publisher also plans to sell via Ebay.co.uk, with worldwide shipping, soon.
Annis, the publisher tells me the most cost-effective way to buy the book in Australia is either via The Book Depository or direct from them via Amazon Marketplace. Hope that helps.

BBC Radio Suffolk interviewed me about Paths of Exile and Anglo-Saxon England earlier this week. Rather a nerve-racking experience, as I've never been in a radio studio before, they did the interview live, and they hadn't told me in advance what they wanted to talk about! The interview is on the BBC iPlayer until next Tuesday (24 Feb) if anyone wants to listen:
