The Musée des Lettres et Manuscrits, Paris, purchases at auction a miniature booklet created by author when she was 14.

Yes, it's a shame the Bronte Museum didn't get it.

Hmm -- I am not sure that a museum in Paris will want to donate the article to a museum in Yorkshire.
I remember Neil Oliver in a French museum viewing the first known document to refer to Scotland rather than Pictland c. 1000 (slighIy earlier than that but I can't remember the exact date) and asking the curator if there was any chance of it returning to Scotland -- the answer was a very clear Non.
I think from that you can get a realistic idea of the Bronte Museum's chances.

My husband has a cousin whose writing is so small it's almost hard to read. I don't know how they do it, but apparently it can be done. Saves paper, I imagine.

Thanks for posting Annis, it is a big shame the Bronte museum weren't successful :( What a beautiful little booklet.
