View Full Version : How Ironic....Natalie Dormer...

Natalie who played "Anne Boleyn" on "The Tudors", and is now "Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon" in the upcoming movie "W.E.", which is about Edward VIII and Wallis, directed by Madonna (I know, how odd). What I find ironic, is that Helena Bonham-Carter played both those roles, and if Natalie ever plays Lady Jane Grey, then she'll have the trifecta of Helena's real life Queen roles.

HBC might start to feel like she has a stalker!

Cannot imagine her as EB-L. Really can't imagine her as Lady Jane Grey though. I loved her as Anne Boleyn.

I loved Natalie Dormer's interpretation of Anne Boleyn, I felt she had her perfectly - the beauty and the aggression! I'm really looking forward to seeing W. E. :) I can't see Natalie as Lady Jane Grey though.

I thought Natalie was excellent as Anne Boleyn and gave her real depth and at times sympathy for her dilemma in not being able to give Henry a son. I wonder what she will be like in Game of Thrones. I also can't imagine her as EBL, but then again I think the real Duchess of York wasn't the nicey nicey lady that so many books present her as being. I'll be watching though.

She's also going to play Margaery Tyrell in season 2 of A Game of Thrones.

Natalie also has a bit part in Captain America for those who haven't seen it. I think she looks rather odd as a blonde, though.

She's also blonde in a TV series over here called "Silk", about lawyers, which was shown earlier this year. I didn't think it suited her in that either.

I believe she also was blonde in Flawless with Michael Caine and Demi Moore.

She appeared in an episode (http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/marple/askevans.html) of "Miss Marple" series 4 and "Casanova" (2005) as Victoria.

I saw Casanova. She was beautiful in that. Didn't know it was her. Or rather, I didn't know who she was.

I saw Cassanova too, but would not have known the actress at the time.

Lauragill--"She's also going to play Margaery Tyrell in season 2 of A Game of Thrones."
I think this is a perfect part for the talented Natalie Dormer and I can't wait to see it. As for Silk I liked the show but thought Natalie was lack lustre, in that her character simply lacked substance. I didn't see Casanova.
