I just saw that there is a new Anne Boleyn book coming out in the next few months (UK) called Anne Boleyn: Henry VIII's Obsession.

But....I also saw that the same authour has another book out called "She Wolves: The Notorious Queen's of Medieval England". It sounds very interesting, here is the amazon link:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0750947357/thebookdeposi-21/

Has anyone here read it?

Nope, sounds interesting though, and thanks for the heads up about the Anne book, I can add it to my website store.

Edit: found the "She Wolves" on Amazon, it's a bit too much for my budget, maybe I can find a used copy someday.

It's on Amazon US too:

I ordered one through Book Depository there.

I've got her 'She Wolves' book. I've only read the chapter on Lady Jane Grey so far. It was quite a good read but she states that Jane was executed on February 13th on Tower Hill. Instead of the usual 12th February on Tower Green.

It says at the back of the Anne Boleyn book that she has a book about Jane Seymour out at some point.

First, welcome!

I bought She Wolves too and read the chapter on Isabella of France. Much of it was sound but it also had a couple of very peculiar errors--like one saying that Isabella was besieged by the Earl of Pembroke at the Tower of London. Don't know how on earth she came up with that notion, and it's made me hesitant about shelling out for the one on Anne Boleyn.

You would think that a fact like Lady Jane date of execution, and if it was at Tower Hill or Tower Green, would be pretty easy to research!

Alison Weir, in her Britain's Royal Families, has Feb 12th on Tower Hill. A mix of both. Is there some controversy about the location?

Lady Jane Grey was executed on February 12, 1554 on Tower Green inside the Tower of London. Tower Hill was outside the Tower of London and executions there were public. Executions on Tower Green were considered more private and far fewer executions were conducted there. Those executed there were given the benefit of a private execution because of their rank.

Those executed at Tower Green:

1. William Hastings, 1st Baron Hastings, by order of the Richard, Duke of Gloucester, in 1483. He was taken immediately out of the White Tower at the Tower of London during a meeting and executed.
2. Queen Anne Boleyn, second wife of King Henry VIII, May 19, 1536
3. Margaret, Countess of Salisbury, the last of the Plantagenet dynasty, on May 27, 1541
4. Queen Catherine Howard, fifth wife of Henry VIII, by a Bill of Attainder on February 13, 1542
5. Jane Boleyn, Viscountess Rochford, by order of Henry VIII on February 13, 1542
6. Lady Jane Grey, the Nine Days Queen, wife of Lord Guilford Dudley, by order of a special commission for High Treason, on February 12, 1554
7. Robert Devereux, 2nd Earl of Essex for treason on February 24, 1601

This was the site of the scaffold on Tower Green. In the background is the Chapel of St. Peter ad Vincula where the bodies of those executed were buried.

Thanks for the photo! Actually, that looks very familiar now... I've been there a couple of times (while younger) and have seen the plaque and the Green. Also remember sitting in the chapel nearby while one of the Yeoman Warders pointed out the spot where the bones of Anne Boleyn and Jane Grey might lie.
Seeing that, I really wonder why those two historians got it wrong.

There are many errors in Alison Weir's books particularly in the her early books.
