Hello all-
I saw a link to this site on Absolute Write posted by Julianne Douglas.
My name is Christine Blevins. I am a reader/writer of historical fiction, with a debut novel recently published by Berkley/Penguin titled MIDWIFE OF THE BLUE RIDGE. My second novel will be published in April - set during the American Revolution - it is titled THE TORY WIDOW.
Although I am a little partial to American History, I do enjoy reading any time period and place, and I am happy to be a member of this board. :
In my blundering around, I somehow posted this in the wrong area. Moving it now to "Introduce Yourself" <sorry!>

Hello Ms. Blevins!
I saw your interview on reading the past. Loved it! As someone who wishes to write historical fiction novels set in America you've given me hope :)
Looking forward to reading your novel.

Welcome Christine....Looking forward to reading your novels....It's one of my favorite eras in American History.....I hope you will give us a chance to read a excerpt from "The Tory Widow" The Tory's side of the story needs to be told....After reading Kenneth Robert's "Oliver Wiswell"...I now appreciate and have a better understanding of the Tory side of the American Revolution...

Welcome to the community, Christine! Midwife of the Blue Ridge looks like a definite read for me since I live in SC at the foot of the Blue Ridge and am extremely interested in its history.
