Well, since Leyland made a new intro, I will too. :D
I used to be Lady Sorbus on the old forum, changed to Rowan.
I'm glad there's a new forum as I wouldn't know where to go for new book ideas. :o
Be Well Everyone :)

I think we need to get our avatars working so we know who everybody is :)

:D Ha! No doubt! A true example of "picture being worth a thousand words." I never realized the avatars were so important ...

I don't have a special one. Not that anyone would care to recognise me...

Try again. I finally found the one button that seems to have been causing the problem, and at least one person has been able to use an avatar since that change was made.
My Avatar's working now. I had 2 attempts to load it - failed first time, but now it's back - thanks! :)

Hey Rowan - today's NOAA projected path shows Gustav drawing a bead on NOLA. Hope you're getting ready - those storms in the Gulf are mighty unpredictable! I hope Gustav at least remains a minimal one. I'll keep my hopes out for the best on all y'all on the Gulf Coast.

Nah. It's too early to say for certain where it's going. If NOAA is saying that path is written in stone, then they should be banned from forecasting. Still, we have a plan to head to Atlanta if necessary.

Hello and welcome :)

I know - I meant today's path is right for NOLA, but Gustav could landfall anywhere along the coast. Remember Elena? Nothing in the Gulf is set in stone. Although I got caught in Pensacola during Opal and that particular storm did make a beeline toward poor Pensy the whole way up from the bottom of the Gulf. It was a single minded storm!
No tryin' to reason with hurricane season!

Thanks Melisende.
And you're right Leyland. So far it looks a little bad for us but not a direct hit. Still, we shall see.

I hope that the hurricane doesn't affect you. Sometimes I feel very blessed that I don't have to worry about hurricanes, typhoons, earthquakes etc etc!
Hope New Orleans doesn't get hit by Gustav, Rowan. Stay safe.
(Give me earthquakes any day over hurricanes, blizzards, ice storms and tornadoes!)

Am going to do my best. Am hoping - as we all are - that it shifts more to the west. I hate wishing such devistation on another city, but we are not ready for this. *sigh*

Glad you're here Rowan. I, too, would have difficulty coming up with new books to read.
