I'm skeptical. I think The Tempest would work better as SciFi than the Henry plays - and cramming them all into one feature-length movie???
But yes, the cast is outstanding - I will be tempted.

I took a great trip around Shakespeare's Globe Theater when I was in London this summer and have fallen in love with the bard all over again. Will definitely check this one out.

Vinnie Jones? Please, no! I hope he's one of those who isn't "contractually" definite yet.

Hmmm....interesting concept. Could be great, could be truly awful. :D

I concur absolutely with your sentiment. No No No.
Re Tempest making a better Sci-Fi - anyone remember Forbidden Planet. Aged but with definite qualities.

Who the heck is Vinnie Jones? I've heard of the others, and generally enjoy their work.

He's a rather thuggish-looking English footballer who became an "actor" - he's been lots of action stuff, "Swordfish", "X Men". He's done well in Hollywood though......
Actually I think this whole thing smacks as a bit of a wind-up, there's nothing about it on imdb, not when I looked yesterday anyway.

I do remember it - a classic. Though my husband's over-the-top enthusiasm for it kind of dulled my appreciation. The poetry was better in The Tempest. "Full fathom five thy father lies. Of his bones are coral made ...."

Oh, I think I may know who he is after all. Was he in Gone In 60 Seconds?
