Two at once - you're a brave soul! Hopefully they will wear each other out.
Can you tell us how a Patterdale Jack Russel is different from other kinds of JR's? I'm not sure I've ever seen any on this side of the pond.
Cute! I always say that two dogs is easier than one, because if you only have one, you have to be the other dog! (Or puppy, as the case may be.) Your old dog is going to be quite harassed.
I would be interested hearing how these two interact as they reach maturity. Somebody once told me that litter mates never stop vying for the top dog position.
N.Gemini, they are crossbreeds. Their mother is a Patterdale terrier looking rather like this: http://www.allsmalldogbreeds.com/breeds/patterdale-terrier.jpg
Their dad is a tricolour Jack Russell - tan, black and white.
There are two types of Jack Russell in the UK. The Parson Jack Russell has longer legs and looks more like a fox terrier. The Jack Russell minus the Parson apellation is shorter in the leg. Pip and Jack's dad is a short-legged Russell, but the pups should get some extra leg length from their mother. Certainly the pup from last year's litter that still lives with the family is larger than his dad as a full grown young dog.
MLE - it will be interesting to see how they shape up. My husband has a gift as a 'dog whisperer'. He's not done any formal training or study, but for whatever reason, dogs take to him straight away and he's skilled at 'educating' them. There is never any doubt who's in charge and that everyone furry has to do as they are told - and since everyone knows who's boss, and the boss doesn't stand any nonsense, it's a harmonious household. We've had dog boarders before when family members have been ill, so we're accustomed to more than one dog in the household, but littermates will be a new challenge!

They are simply adorable. I love the pics you posted of them in the hat. It's good that you already have a 'top dog' in the household already, it should be a smooth transition.
