If the project is successful, that opens up a whole new segment in agriculture. Not to mention the possibility of bringing back the Dodo.

Woo! I had the impression that they were pretty dangerous beasts- might be tricky to farm. Haven't there been attempts to resurrect the woolly mammoth through DNA from mammoths found preserved by freezing- a bit like the "Jurassic Park" idea.

Interesting that the Nazis tried to resurrect the aurochs - they were very obsessed with Germanic/Nordic mythology as an offshoot of attempts to rebuild the perfect Aryan race. Maybe they did succeed to some extent in recreating their own Götterdämmerung.
