Well, I just tied it. I'm going for Book of Fires.
While reading about 18th century London is not my fav period, I'd read that one over another take on the Deidre story, which I 've read since I was a kid.

Oooh, how exciting! I'm going for The Swan Maiden. That is, unless I'm not allowed to vote because I did already?

No, everyone who voted on the last poll (and those who didn't as well) can vote once on the tiebreaker poll.

I just DNF'd Book of Fires (Girl with a Pearl Firework might be a better title ;)) so it's Swan Maiden for me all the way. :D

I have both these books on my TBR pile, so I shall just read both of them.
Been a long time since I read any Irish mythical stuff-- not since college, when I tried to write the Tain into script format. (It proved to be far beyond my abilities at the time.) So I voted for Swan Maiden.

It's still a draw! Perhaps we should read one in February and the other in March.

Flip a coin?
Hee, love it
Yeah, if its that close, I vote one for Feb and one for March, unless we can handle two book discussions in one month.

Reading one in Feb and one in March is fine with me.

Alphabetical by author and/or title as to which goes first? Or flip the old coin?

Why not just alphabetical--by author and title--Book of Fires for Feb, Swan Maiden for March.

Sounds good to me.
I'd be happy with that :-)

I've finished The Book of Fires and have recorded my thoughts! I will say that I enjoyed it.

Amazing! I'd like to read them both, so this works nicely for me. I still have Ross Poldark on the TBR pile - but January is not over yet!

Oh me too, and it was my choice so it's a bit embarrassing!:o RP will be my next-but-one read, as I have a read from another book group to get through, which I'm just about to start.

I'm glad to know I'll have someone else to talk to when I finally get around to the Ross Poldark BOM discussion!

I'll let you know when I start it, probably around mid-Feb at my current rate!:o:)

Oh, good. Mid-February is about right for me, too - I have a backlog of review books to read for the beginning of February!

Since March is upon us in a few days can we list some books for April. Just wondering. I'm getting antsy. :p

Yes I was wondering what was happening with April!
Margaret, I'm now just over halfway through Ross P, I've posted a brief message on the relevant BOTM thread. How are you getting on with it?

Sorry, I completely lost track of where we were at with not having to do a poll last month!
