I was impressed by this book, and thought Borodale's use of language particularly vivid- I wasn't surprised to discover that she is an artist. I posted a review at Margaret's HNI site:

Yes, I did check on dates. I've been lent a proof copy of it to read, so need to read it fairly shortly. My excuse for choosing it!
Byzantium by Stephen Lawhead. It's in the TBR pile thanks to recommendations fro the forum.
Oh, I've been wanting to read that since forever - second that nomination.
