Paths of Exile is on the September nominations list for The People's Book Prize [http://www.peoplesbookprize.com/index.htm]. This is a national competition for books by new authors, voted on by members of the public - i.e., by you.

Anyone can vote, all you need is an email address. There doesn’t seem to be any geographical restriction. It should only take a few minutes of your time.

You can vote now on The People’s Book Prize website: [http://www.peoplesbookprize.com/book.php?id=141]

Thank you for your support!

Well done, Carla, you seem to be getting some buzz about this book, which is very exciting. I bought it, too - I'm not doing any reading of anything until after my deadline in November and then I'm moving, but it will keep me company when I am in the US and remind me of "the old country". There are so few books set at that time and the reviews are wonderful, so I'm really looking forward to reading it!

Off topic here - Jules, are you deserting your Scottish glens for the USA?

Desertion sounds like a terrible word! But yes, my husband has been offered a two year contract in Washington DC and we move over there in January once I hand my latest book in. We are still keeping our little house in the glen and our life here, tho! To be honest my career is over in the States anyway, agent and publisher etc, so it will make it easier when The Raven Queen comes out next year. Plus I get a new adventure!

Thank you Jules - I really appreciate you taking the time when you must be so busy with your upcoming move. Hope it goes smoothly, and that you enjoy Washington DC!
