There's been quite a bit of talk already about what system we want, now lets vote so we can get it under way!

So what kind of system (if any) do you want in term of member rankings?

I leave it to the majority.

I voted for no ranking.

Being a mod/supermod on other forums (automotive), I don't think that rankings need to even be used in forums, especially if there's no commerce on the site, IMHO.

I still like the idea we used at the MB where I was an admin and thats when people could choose their titles. Made things fun and creative. But I can understand why admins wouldnt want to do it.

I also voted for no rankings - I guess I participate in a forum because I have something to say not because I have to "achieve" a certain level of postings to get "street cred".

Rankings aren't important to me or necessary for my enjoyment and participation in a particular forum.

My two cents - the aussie dollar just isn't what it used to be!

I also really like this idea and I can also understand why administrators would not want to do it. Because I do some administrative work on the forum I help moderate, I do appreciate the time factor. If we used rankings, I would like them to mean something and it seems as if my proposal for using both posts numbers and quality of posts was not popular here, which is fine with me. I don't like rankings based merely upon post numbers. Ten "hello and welcome to the forum" posts are not the same as ten book review posts. I voted for no rankings so we are all equal.
