A few days ago I was asked to do a top ten list about history on Blogs.com. I chose Top 10 History Blogs by Authors of Historical Fiction (http://www.blogs.com/topten/top-10-history-blogs-by-authors-of-historical-fiction/index.html).
I tried my best to include all of the authors who post on this forum and also write history blogs (sorry - they had to be about history). I apologize profusely if I missed anyone. And if I did - I'll include you on the next list ;]

Thank you, Michelle! With everything you do for me, I owe you jewelry.

Haha. Cartier will do nicely ;)
I like your flashback, btw. The "on this day in history".

Thanks, Divia! It actually took some searching to find 10 historical fiction authors whose blogs were about history. Many authors blog about themselves, or vignettes of their life, or just reviews.

I much prefer to read blogs about history. Brian Wainwright blogs on occasion, but he's moved it and I'm not sure if I have the new one in my reader.

He's still got the old blog. He now has two blogs, The Yorkist Age (http://yorkistage.blogspot.com/) and Greyhounds and Fetterlocks (http://brianwainwright.blogspot.com/).
I'm with those who prefer history blogs. If I wanted navel-gazing I'd read contemporary fiction!

HA! I couldn't agree more with you, Misfit and Boswell. The only blog whose vignettes I can appreciate and laugh at is Deanna Raybourn's. It's such a charming blog, and her personality really comes through. But usually I want history.

Thanks Michelle, I've only just noticed this post - if I only had time, only time!
I run several blogs, but Living The History is the main one and it's intentionally historical with the very occasional 'me' moment. Whereas my News blog is where the 'me' stuff comes in and I allow myself to do the BSP - LOL.
I do enjoy reading historical blogs and ones where I learn something - although I confess most blog reading is definitely a procrastination activity!
